🎨✨ A Day of Art, Inspiration, and Community at Carleton! ✨🎨
Today, our 5th graders had an unforgettable opportunity to learn from fine art painter and muralist Oshun Williams as he visited our school for a special creative workshop!
Students learned about his journey as an artist, his inspirations, and the powerful process behind creating large-scale murals that uplift and represent the community. Together, they began collaborating on a large-scale canvas piece that will be proudly displayed at the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA).
Our scholars were inspired not only by his talent, but by his message that art can be a voice, a story, and a gift to the community. 💛💙
We are incredibly grateful for this experience that encourages creativity, leadership, and pride in artistic expression. Our students truly shined today!
